Siempre tuve el problema de que para sacar fotos y videos para Instructables me faltaba un trípode o algo así, que me sostuviera la cámara mientras yo trabajaba. Ayer me decidí a tratar de solucionar el problema, y construí este soporte articulado que me servirá para mostrar algunas cosas. Está hecho en caño de aluminio del que se utiliza para colgar cortinas, de 12 mm de diámetro externo. Es tan fácil de hacer que si el caño usado llegara a resultar débil, haré otro con caño de hierro. Pero por ahora parece que "se la banca", como decimos en la Argentina.

Como siempre, aproveché materiales que tenía guardados en el altillo de mi taller. Lo único que tuve que comprar fueron los tornillos, mariposas y arandelas.

Las instrucciones van en las notas de las imágenes. Es muy fácil de hacer, es liviano y plegable. El diseño admite muchas variantes, acomódelo usted a su conveniencia: más eslabones, eslabones más largos, caño más grueso, prensa en vez de clip, etc.

Ah, me olvidaba. La palabra monópode no está registrada por la RAE, pero existe. Yo no estoy seguro de que esto sea realmente un monópode porque no pisa el suelo, pero me gusta ese nombre.

I always had the problem that for photos and videos to Instructables I lacked a tripod or something to hold the camera while I worked. Yesterday I decided to try to fix the problem, and built this articulated bracket that will be useful to show some things. It is made of aluminum pipe that is used for hanging curtains, 12 mm outer diameter.  It is so easy to do that if the pipe used were to be weak, I will make another with iron pipe. But for now it seems that endures its work.

As always , I used materials I had stored in the attic of my shop. All I had to buy were the screws, wing nuts and washers.

The instructions are in the notes to the pictures. It is very easy to do, is lightweight and foldable. The design supports many variants, redesign it at your convenience: more links, links longer, thicker pipe, clamps instead of binder clip, etc..

Oh, I forgot . The word "monópode" is not registered by the Royal Spanish Academy, but it exists.  I'm not sure this is really a monopod because it does not step the ground, but I like that name.
