Introduction: Easy Small Stars
I found this firework on http://www.wichitabuggywhip.com/fireworks/mouseturds.html. I had never heard of that style of stars before and I wanted to give it some publicity.
Step 1: Make the Star Mix
This website should tell you how to make star mix.... http://www.skylighter.com/fireworks/how-to-make/cut-stars.asp .
Step 2: Roll Out the Star Mix
Roll out the star mix on a thin piece of wax paper.
Step 3: Push the Star Mix Through a 1/8'' Screen
Push the star mix through the screen, onto another piece of wax paper.
Step 4: Dry
Spread the stars out on the wax paper and let them dry.
Step 5: Prime
Prime the stars with your personal preference for a primer, put a one to two mm layer on them.
Step 6: Finished
Now that the stars are done you can use them for whatever you want.

What mixtures do you use for these stars? I am trying to make some fireworks for the 4th and I have most of the process figured out and working but my stars are not too good. They fall apart or don't light that easily.
I have some fountain mixture I made with KNO3 defficient BP and some shtty Al powder which is tested and does work well for fountains. I am hoping that with a binder like sugar that can make a "D1 glitter" star (without binder they fall apart in tests).
