Introduction: Easy-to-Make Paper Playing Cards

This Instructable will teach you about making paper paying cards, similar to Bicycle playing cards.. This made me think that this was really cool and was very fun! This did take me a long time, and it was a very tiring process, but it should take you about a couple hours! I made this project because it was a really fun idea to do.

Supplies

The Supplies needed are found right here. They are:

  • Blank Paper (about 8 pieces)
  • Ruler
  • Colored pencils (red and black only)
  • Pencil with eraser
  • Scissors
  • Bicycle cards (optional for drawing)
  • Rubber Band

Step 1: Making the Cards

The first step is to make the length 6 centimeters and the width 8.5 centimeters. Then, trace 1 blank paper with a pencil and make it a 2 by 8 table. Make sure to get rid of squares that aren't 6 cm. by 8.5 cm. After that, get 7 more pieces of paper, and then cut them where the traced pencil lines are. This should give you about 56 cards, so recycle 6 of the extras. It's optional to make the 2 joker cards, so recycle 4 extras if you'd like. You should have 52 cards.

Step 2: Drawing Them

The next step is to draw them. With your black and red colored pencil and your bicycle cards from an ace to king, draw them carefully as they should look like the card. There should be 4 suites for that same card. If you mess up, you can use your eraser on your pencil. For the Jack, Queen, and King, I just drew the word in English on mine. It's okay to draw them like the one on the Bicycle card. Remember, Joker cards are optional!

Step 3: Finishing Touches

The final step is the finishing touches. Make sure that you have at least 52 cards, or 54 including jokers. make sure they're all drawn. Then, the final touch is to put a rubber band around it.

You are officially Done! I hope that you had fun making this project!
