Introduction: Economical Cable Gripper Device That Saved the Day

I have a 5 foot retaining wall with dirt behind it. The wall was starting to lean and needed a support to prevent it from leaning any further. I decided on adding support cable to help support the wall. The cables needed to be tightened to remove any slack. I built this simple device and used a hand come-a-long to supply the force to tighten the cables.
