Introduction: Edible Apple Swan

About: Hello dear viewers and readers! My name is Darja! My hobby is cooking various delicious dishes.

Good afternoon, dear viewers and readers! Today we will master the art of fruit carving. This cooking lesson is for beginners, so don't be too harsh. The apple swan fruit appetizer will decorate the table and delight the eye.

Supplies

For carving, you need one large apple with a tail and a stalk. The brighter and larger the apple, the more attractive the swan will be. You will also need a sharp knife.

Step 1:

Using a sharp knife, divide the apple into two pieces so that one apple piece remains with the stalk.

Step 2:

Then take most of the apple and cut off a thin pancake and still with the stalk. The apple stick at the exit is the crown of the male king bird.

Step 3:

We have two main apple halves and a thin middle circle. Move the circle to the side. Flip the halves onto a work surface with the cut down. Visually divide the apple slice in two. Make cuts on the visual halves without cutting to the end. The middle, which you determined with your gaze, must be left at least 1 cm wide. At this stage, we already have the body of future swans and apple triangular slices.

Step 4:

Now each wing needs to be cut in the same way as the first time. Continue carving out the wings, referring to the photo. Each wing will consist of four to five cut-out figures.

Step 5:

In the center of each tummy, you need to make a rectangular depression for the neck.

Step 6:

The necks with heads are cut from the apple circle along with the tail for the female, and the stalk for the male.

Step 7:

The final result. Also, together with apple swans, you can make a composition of oranges slices and grapes.
