Introduction: Eid Sheep Puzzle

Hey guys, today we have another fun and easy laser cut project. Since Eid Al Adha is coming soon we will be making Eid sheep puzzle, it can be used as a decoration or as a game for children.

All we need is a basic 2D designing skills. So, to design the 2D model we used Adobe Illustrator, but you can use inkscape instead because it's free and easy to use software. Finally, we used a laser cutter machine to cut the parts. So lets get started

اهلا اصدقائي , اليوم لدينا مشروع ممتع وسهل بإستخدام قاطع الليزر . حيث ان عيد الأضحى اقترب سنقوم بعمل قطع خروف العيد , بالإمكان إستخدامه للتزيين او استخدامة كلعبة أطفال .

Adobe Illustrator كل ماتحتاجه هو اساسيات تصميم ثنائي الأبعاد , لذلك لتصميم الشكل استخدمنا برنامج

لسهولته ولانه متوفر مجاناً inkscape لكن يمكنك استخدام برنامج

اخيراً, استخدمنا الة قاطعة الليزر لقص القطع . لذلك دعونا نبدأ

ملاحظه :

- هذا المشروع تم عمله في فاب لاب الظهران بواسطة لمى المحتسب

- انستركتبل تم عمله بواسطة فاتن الزياني


Step 1: Requirement

For this project we will need:

  1. Cardboard
  2. LaserCutter machine.

المتطلبات :

لهذا المشروع نحتاج :

1- كرتون

2- قاطعة الليزر

Step 2: Design

For this design we used Adobe Illustratorsoftware to cut by LaserCutter later.You can design it using any other 2D designing software.

To draw the main parts we used two tools:

  • pen tool
  • ellipse tool.

After that, to design the side slots we created a 3mm width rectangle*based on the thickness of our material* using the rectangle tool and cut it out of the shape.

Important notes:

  • Make sure to clean the lens before you start cutting.

  • Make sure the cardboard is correctly installed.
  • The design file is attached. You can download the file and cut it, but make sure you use a 3 mm material.

بإمكانك استخدام برامج اخرى ثنائية الأبعاد

لرسم الأشكال الأساسيه تم استخدام اداتين وهما :

- اداة القلم

- اداة الشكل البيضاوي

بعد ذلك , ولتصميم الفتحات الجانبية انشأنا مستطيل بسمك 3ملم * يعتمد على سمك الخامات التي لديكم * بإستخدام أداة المستطيل

ملاحظات مهمه

- تأكد من تنظيف العدسة قبل البدء بالقص

- تأكد من تثبيت الكرتون بشكل جيد.

- الملف الذي تم تصميمه مرفق هنا , بإمكانك تحميله واستخدامه ولكن تأكد من استخدام كرتون بحجم 3 ملم

Step 3: Final Product

The final step is cutting and assembling the parts. In this step you can easily watch the video and follow the steps.

you can always develop this idea and use different type of materials as well.
