Step 1: Getting the Knack for Electronics
This second circuit is a variant of the first and is a circuit breaker. The negative resistor is an idea that I played with as a teenager kept in mind but I have never used. The circuit is not novel but trivial and I have seen it used in recent years.
My objective is not to cover circuit ideas but to discuss how to make things work well. Strategies for project managing that also work with fault finding. A little software and digital but mostly the art of good circuit, PCB and EMC design.
