Introduction: Elegant Side Bun With Makeup
Hey momoluvers! It's momo and toady I'm back with a classy and elegant tutorial. I know I haven't been making instructables for longer than usual but I'm happy to say I'm back and I'll be on a new schedule. I'm planning to make an instructable every Saturday, and on occasion I'll make two a week.
I hope y'all enjoy this beautiful side bun. It was inspired by this celebrity (who I don't know the name of;) and I thought it would make a wonderful tutorial so onto the instructable!
Step 1: Bun Supplies
1. Hairspray
2. Small elastic
3. Brush
4. Bobby pins
Step 2: Sectioning Off
Begin with textured day or two day old hair
Pull a small chunk of hair on both sides of the part and clip it away.
Step 3: Making the Bun 'base'
Pull the rest of your hair to one side of your head.
Loop the elastic around once, then again, but not pulling the hair all the way through.
You should have a 'tail' sort of thing hanging out the is the remainder of your hair
Step 4: Pinning the Excess
Take the 'tail' sections and about a fourth at a time wrap it around the bun and secure it in the back. When your finished, it should look messy but beautiful.
Step 5: Bangs
Let your front pieces down and curl them with a large barrel curling iron. The larger the barrel, the better because that'll make the curl more beachy looking
Step 6: Hairspray
Use a light to medium hold hairspray and spray all over your head. I'm using Not Your Mother's 'She's a Tease' hairspray. It's infused with Apple blossom and bamboo and smells amazing! You can buy it here: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod3120607
And you can check out video tutorials for their others products here: https://nymbrands.com
Step 7: Makeup!
For this makeup tutorial I'll be using the Ulta "Gilded Gold" palette. It is 20$ in store and online. You can purchase it here: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod11921009 It comes with a high quality brush that is super soft, 6 shimmer shadows, and 6 matte shadows.
Apply the shade bone to the inner corners
Sweep scorched into the middle of the lid.
Work in coal with a small liner brush along the lower lash line and the corner of the eye
Apply your preferred mascara. I'm using Scandleyes Retro Glam. You can purchase it here: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod6380083 It create long, thin lashes with one sweep.
Step 8: Finished!
That's it! This is a simple, elegant, and messy hairstyle that's perfect for all occasions! I hope y'all enjoyed this tutorial, thanks for liking and commenting.
