Introduction: Enclosed Entertainment Center Fan
This how-to will tell you how to cool down your enclosed entertainment center. I was worried about overheating my PS3 and Receiver so I mounted a computer case fan to cool it down.
I didn't want to spend $30 on a PS3 intercooler which probably wouldn't have solved my problem anyways.
This is a quick and easy solution to an over heating enclosed entertainment center.
Step 1: Wire It
I took a 12 volt DC power brick from an old modem and wired it to a spare 12 VDC computer fan.
Step 2: Mount It
I then mounted it to the back of my Entertainment stand with twist-ties.
I plugged it into the back of my Yamaha receiver so that the fan turns on when the receiver does.
This eliminates the need for a manual switch which would just be a hassle.
