Introduction: Espresso Maker Modified for Induction

About: Hi, my name is John. My hobby is to solve problems from other people and creating nice and functional stuff out of trash. I'm living in Germany so excuse my not so fluent English (some technical terms are hard…

I had the problem that my old espresso maker is not working on our induction cooker so I was forced to use an pan where I've put the espresso maker into.

This is not the nicest way to produce a espresso this is why I've got the task to deal with it.

Step 1: Let's Add Steel

To get the thing working on a induction cooker it is required to have steel somewhere on/in the espresso cooker. So I've mounted a plain steel bar to the bottom of the cooker. To further raise the acceptance I've rounded the bar for a nice look and feel.

Step 2: Tamper

As an add on I've 3D-Printed a tamper.

Now I have a completely different problem... I'm forced to present a cappuccino every morning ;-)
