Introduction: Essential Man Knowledge #37 Filling Holes!
So this is a technique that I use whenever I come across a hole that needs filling because the screw within it for one reason or another has stripped it out and it no longer fastens it's intended work piece to the substrate. It's quick. It's easy. It's even kinda fun. Best of all, you don't have to waste any money on garbage anchors from the hardware store because this method, hands down, beats the pants off and spanks those silly little anchors. This also works great on transition strips between flooring surfaces such as lino to carpet when installed over concrete slab foundations if you first drill your pilot hole with a masonry bit.

To quote Crockodile Dundee. Now that's a knife!! I agree those anchors are sometimes worthless. I have done similar with holes using Durhams water putty and jamming it into the hole with toothpicks. That stuff is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing the essential knowledge. Far too many people don't know how to do this for themselves .
