Introduction: Etched Coloured Box Front
This was an experiment with using different art materials and laser etching on a simple wood box.
Step 1: Colour
The front of a laser cut plywood box was coloured with water colour crayons. A wet paint brush was then used to spread the colour.
Step 2: Laser
When the painted box front was dry, it was etched on the laser.
To line up the box, a template was first etched onto a scrap piece of wood.
The finished etching reveals the wood underneath the paint for an interesting artistic effect!
