The most important thing is to have good print , done with good quality toner.
Here we use some dangerous chemicals so be very careful if you going to do this at home.

Please check following video for details, and I will show you also few steps in following points.

Supplies

- HCL

- Hydrogen peroxide

- Plastic box

- Steel Wool

Step 1: Prepare Copper Clad With Print

First you must have good print, done with good quality toner, or done by any other technique .

Then we put prepared PCB in plastic box.

Step 2: Add HCL and Hydrogen Peroxide

For etching we use HCL and Hydrogen peroxide.

BE VERY CAREFUL, THESE ARE HARMFUL.

We pour in HCL just enough to cover PCB, then we add a little of peroxide.

Since HCL and peroxide comes in different concentration, it is difficult to define right amount to use.

If you add too much of peroxide it will react to fast, and can go under the print and etch copper traces, so be careful, test and see what is proper amount.

Step 3: Reaction

We immediately see how reactions with copper occur.

We can see bubbles in the reaction of acid with copper, and after few minutes full reaction can be seen.

Step 4: Rinse Pcb With Water

After etching is done, we rinse pcb with water.

Step 5: Remove Any Toner Residue ( If PCB Done With Toner Method )

Use a steel sponge to remove any toner residue.

Step 6: Result

The PCB looks almost perfect.
