Intro: Etching My Beer Bottle Cups

The epic conclusion to my make-a-beer-bottle-into-cup saga. Here I show how I did some simple chemical etching to give some character to my drinking vessels.

Previously I showed how to cut a glass bottle using a hot water method, and also how to finish/polish the cut edge into a smooth, drinking-friendly lip.

Is it just me or does the etching get more noticeable as it dries?
It does. Water fills in the microscopic imperfections that scatter light and create the frosted glass effect.
