Introduction: Fabric Ornaments

About: I am a conceptual artist, and my DIY projects are mostly inspired by pop culture (movies, music, sports, TV). I mostly specialize in painting, graphic design, drawing, digital photography, performance art, and…

Recycle fabric scraps as colorful decorations for your ornaments to place on your Christmas tree!

Step 1: Materials List

Here's what you will need to make them:

  • scraps of your choice of fabric
  • scissors
  • Mod Podge
  • large paint brush or sponge brush
  • clear glass or plastic ornaments

Step 2: Prep Ornaments

Make sure that you rinse off your ornaments before beginning any ornament project like this one.

Step 3: Prep Fabric

Next, cut up some fabric into small pieces or strips, and set them aside.

Step 4: Brush on Mod Podge

Next, grab your sponge brush or paint brush and add on an even layer of Mod Podge to the side of your ornament.

Step 5: Add Fabric

Then, just overlap the fabric pieces in a collage style format all over the ornament. Once you're done, brush on a few more strokes of Mod Podge over the top of the fabric to seal, then let dry completely before hanging on your tree!

Step 6: Thrifty Ornaments

These thrifty and trendy ornaments make for great gifts and additions to any Christmas tree that needs some DIY-inspired flair to their holiday decor!
