Nail Brush or Q-Tips

(I am using the Gelliebeans Starter Kit along with the Mini-LED Lamp for this tutorial. The colors used are:
More Coffee Than Cream, Tangy Tangerine and My Heart Bleeds For You)

Step 1: Prep Your Nails

If you have polish on, remove completely. Now is the time to shape your nails as well. Push back cuticles and LIGHTLY file the nail surface to rough it up a little bit. Use Remover and a Lint-Free wipe to remove any debris from filing. Now, apply your primer, making sure to cover the entire nail surface. You can do one hand at a time, though I prefer to do these steps on both at once so I am prepared to polish!

Step 2: Apply Base Coat

Apply a thin layer of base coat to all nails on one hand. Be careful to keep it on your nail surface only, if you have any product on your cuticle or surrounding skin, just dip a nail brush or q-tip in remover and clean up the area before curing.

Cure under your LED or UV Light (I am using LED so cure time is 30 seconds).

Step 3: Polish Time

This first step may be optional but I like to start an ombre with an even colored surface. Some people prefer to sponge over the clear base coat but I am applying More Coffee Than Cream on all the nails first.

Cure.

Step 4: Sponging

In order to keep the polish on just the nail surface, cut your sponge as close to the size of your nails as possible. Now paint stripes of color directly onto the sponge with no gaps between the colors.

Lightly dab the sponge onto your nails. Clean the cuticle and surrounding skin of all color before curing.

Cure and repeat steps for more complete coverage.

Step 5: Almost Done

Now apply an even, thin coat of top coat.

Cure.

Wipe the sticky layer with the Cleanser and a Lint Free Wipe.

Apply some cuticle oil to complete the look and you are done!
