Introduction: Fancy Pants Clothespins

About: Although I love all art in general, some of my favorites include photography, constructing practical stuff out of duct tape, and sewing up a storm. Before buying something I think twice about it, then usually …
Clothespins are used a lot on a day to day basis, but sometimes you just get tired of the boring colors of a clothespin after a while. Want to jazz up those plain clothespins a bit?  Here's a way to make your clothes (especially your pants) dry in style on that clothesline! Just grab your favorite patterned duct tape and you're good to go!

Materials:
  • Patterned duct tape
  • Scissors
  • Clothespins

Step 1: Duct Tape the Top

Rip a piece of duct tape about the length of the clothespin. Stick it to the top of the clothespin, lining the one side up carefully to the edges and corners. Crease the tape along the other side and make a tiny cut on the end of the crease. Quickly rip off the rest of the duct tape along the cut mark and fold over the extra tape onto the sides.

Step 2: Flip the Clothespin Over

Flip the Clothespin over to the bottom side.

Step 3: Duct Tape the Bottom Side

Using the same procedure, duct tape the bottom of the clothespin. (Stick, cut, rip and fold)

Step 4: You're Done!

After you have finished duct taping all of your clothespins, you are done! Need a place for your Fancy Pants Clothespins? Visit my Classy Containers instructable!
