Step 1: Materials

-yarn
-knitting loom
-knitting hook

Step 2: Set Up Loom

First wrap yarn around bottom peg on loom. This helps hold the yarn in place. Next, begin wrapping yarn around peg and continue until all the pegs have two rows of yarn.

Step 3: Knit

Now take your hook and use it to pull the bottom yarn above and over the peg. Continue doing this until only 1 now remains.

Step 4: Wrap Again

Like step 2, wrap anew row around each peg.

Step 5: Knit Again

Repeat step3.



Continue repeating steps 2 and 3 until your hat is the length you want.

Step 6: Close

The final step is to close your hat use your sewing needle to stitch one end of your hat together, pull tight and knot off.

This Instructable was made by a former student of mine as part of a writing activity in English. We had lost the original directions for using the loom pictured, so he wrote this Instructable to replace that. Now whenever students want to use the loom, I show them Tim's Instructable and they follow his instructions.
