Introduction: Faucet Connector Mount

About: Art, Graphic and Product Design from one source! Furnitures, Pictures and more... I'm an german artist, product designer, photographer...who loves to make and invent things!

We now have 2 faucet connectors and I just needed something to organize them. So I designed and printed this faucet connector mount.

Step 1: Starting Position

Here is the starting position:

2 faucet conncetors, no place to organize them...

Step 2: Materials & Tools

Materials

  • PLA (fpr your 3d-printer)
  • zip tie

Tools

  • 3d-printer
  • pc with some CAD-software (I used RHINO 5)
  • wire cutter
  • caliper

Step 3: Designing

First I had to do some measuring with the caliper. I measured the dimensions of the faucet und the zip tie.

After that I started designing the STL-file in Rhino 5. It's really important that your measurements are correct. If there is any mistake your mount won't fit on the faucet.

I designed the mount as simple as possible to prevent useing supports.

Step 4: Printing

I send the STL-file to the 3d-printer and watched him work.

Step 5: Mounting

After mounting I cut off the surplus part of the zipt tie with the wire cutter.

Step 6: Finished!

Hereare some pictures of the faucet connector mount. It was fun to built it and I learned a lot!
