This film is to celebrate what a small group of passionate people did in their own town and to encourage others to realise that they could do it too. The Medieval Fairs brought people together to buy, sell, be entertained and informed and generally to allow country people to meet the farmers, growers, and artisans without themselves having to travel great distances. Some of these ancient fairs still exist but now there are more and more being held every year through the efforts of the organic movement. This fair at Guichen has become so successful that a couple of years back the town built a small permanent organic shop on site. Last year they started on an even bigger permanent project, a straw bale eco Social and Shopping Centre. The fair is held, by the way, in the town's organic social garden, an achievement in itself. Hope you enjoy it and feel inspired.
