Introduction: Feather Wall Art/Note Hanger From Old Magazines
Recently I found a new way to recycle old magazines rather than my usual method which making origami cranes. Wall art! It seems easy at first, but it needs patience. The result is up to you, your choices of magazines, colors and positions of rods make different patterns.
You can either use it as a note hanger or wall art.
- Old magazines
- Utility knife
- Model cardboard
- Wooden skewer
Step 1: Prepare the Rods
Tear the magazines page by page according to your choice of color.
take one sheet and wrap around wooden skewer, then roll. Then glue the end.
Pull the skewer.
I made around 75 rods, but it depends on your design, the magazine's sizes, etc.
Step 2: Draw the Feather Shape on Cardboard
Draw the feather shape on model cardboard.
Then cut it using a utility knife.
Step 3: Glue the Rods
To construct feather shape, take one rod and find a place for it.
Then trim the excess accordingly the edges of feather.
Glue the rod to model cardboard.
One by one, construct feather shape using the rods.
