Introduction: Feminist Symbol Patch
I wanted to add a feminist touch to some of my clothes.... so I decided to make a feminist symbol patch and stitched it to a black t-shirt. Simply as that.
MATERIALS:
- A T-shirt
- (Purple) Fabric
- Yarn
- Sewing thread
- Symbol Patch drawing / print
- Chalk
TOOLS:
- Printer (to print the design)
- Sewing needle
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing Machine
Step 1:
The first thing you need to do is to find a feminist symbol you want to copy, or draw it directly.
Then, print the symbol and cut it. Next, place every piece on a piece of fabric and trace them with some chalk .
Then cut them all.
Step 2:
Once you have all the pieces on fabric you must choose where you want to place the symbol. That's the easiest step!
Step 3:
Fasten the symbol to the shirt with some pins.
Step 4:
Then stitch the pieces on the shirt or the piece of clothing to want to decorate. You need to stitch it well so it doesn't move or bulge when you sew it.
Step 5:
Now sew it.
I used a sewing machine to sew the patch. But you can do it by hand using the right stitch. There's a specific hand stitch to sew patches. On the internet you can find several tutorials.
Step 6:
And here it is! A great feminist patch on a T-shirt to vindicate the women place in this world!

I like this a lot and it totally reminds me of the times I helped a few graffiti artists by being a lookout for them. Wear it with Pride, please and a BIG Thanks for sharing.
