Introduction: Find WLAN Password (just Need to Be Connected)

What I want to show you today is actually just a command. However, you can also prank your friends with it!

Attention: This is not a hack to hack a wlan password. Its just one way to find out the wlan password of the connected wlan.

Step 1: Open CMD (actually You Should Know How to Open Cmd)

The command prompt can be opend by typing "cmd" in the windows search.

Step 2: Find Your WLAN-Connection

If you know exactly how your Wi-Fi network is called you can skip this step.

Enter the command "netsh wlan show profile" at your command prompt. At the point "user profiles" you can now find the exact name of your wlan network. Mark and copy!

(Don't get confused. My computer language is set to German)

Step 3: Type Password Command

Now enter the command "netsh wlan show profile name="WLAN_NAME" key=clear" and replace WLAN_NAME with the name of your connected WLAN Device. For me it is "FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7360".

So my command goes like this: "netsh wlan show profile name="FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7360" key=clear"

You can omit the quotation marks if the name of the wlan network contains no blank characters.

Step 4: Pick Out the Password

Next to the Security Settings you can find the key. This code is the password for your WLAN.

I had to remove my password so you do not have my key ;)
