Fishing Kayak With Homemade Outriggers

My Fishing Kayak With Homemade Outriggers.

This is my $60 Kayak that i bought from Gumtree. I then pimped it out with Custom homemade Outriggers,Pivioting Underwater/LED headlights,fishing rod holders,Spear and paddle mounts,Storage compartments,3way water proof speekers,Hinged front storage/dog seat flaps,and Water deflector windscreen to keep my dog dry and the canoe afloat. Ive taken a fair few pictures and have tried to give as detailed instructions as i can remember. The outrigger set up is strong removable and works perfectly to stabalise the canoe in very rough conditions and glides well thru the water.

Step 1: OutRigger Mount

Materials:

PVC tube 42mm o/d x 1000mm

Roofing Batten 2x (channel 25x45x45x25mm) x 200mm

8mm tech screws

Step 2: Outrigger Pontoons

Materials:

PVC pipe x490mm

PVC pipe x800mm

4 x 1.25 liter soft drink bottles cut to 185mm in length

Araldite two part epoxy glue

Silicon

Polystyrene lengths

Step 3: Dual Purpose Headlights/Underwater Lights

Materials:

PVC pipe x405mm

PVC pipe

LED Lights

Electrical Wire

Silicon

Araldite two part epoxy glue

Step 4: Fitting Outrigger and Lights

Materials:

Silicon

8mm Tech Screws

or

Small bolts , nuts, washers

3.5mm MDF wooden board

Step 5: Water Deflector, Fishing Rod Holders, Storage, 3way Waterproof Speakers, Spear and Paddle Mounts

Perspex

Araldite two part epoxy glue

Where do you keep the fish you have caught?

plenty. the coolest part was i had Nirvana cranking on the 150w water proof speakers while paddling around one day, when 2 dolphins appeared on either side of my hull, just like you see them interact with a large boat. they hung around for a few minutes. was a surreal moment.

This is by far the best Kayak stabilizer instructions I have come across. Will be building one for my sit on top kayak. Bonus points for being sturdy and removable.
