This costume was in the making for about 2 years. the first version was made from a purple yoga mat, but I thought that looked really cheesy and not professional enough. So when that didn't work, I took to the streets looking for stores with craft foam that I could use. Soon enough, I found one and bought the amount of foam I needed to make this costume work. After a couple hours of measuring, cutting, gluing, and taping, I finally had a product I was extremely proud of:

p.s. this Instructable does NOT include the steps on how to make the helmet. Just the body. thank you for understanding.

Supplies

craft foam, purple fabric, red felt, colored electrical wires, hot glue, Loctite Spray Adhesive (any type of spray adhesive will work), foil tape, industrial strength Velcro, silver Duct tape, silver spray paint, and a black jumpsuit.

Step 1: Gather Materials

Make sure you have the following materials: craft foam, purple fabric, red felt, colored electrical wires, hot glue, Loctite Spray Adhesive(any type of spray adhesive will work), foil tape, silver Duct tape, silver spray paint, and a black jumpsuit.

Step 2: Measure Your Body

I would consider this THE most important step. Measure your arms, legs, torso, waist, and hips. this will give you a general idea about how much foam and fabric you need to cut.

Step 3: Make a Template

I didn't make a very detailed template, so I just had to use my imagination. hand drawing one is a good start, but you'll have to be very precise when doing it, and you'll have to write down your body measurements on the sides you're cutting.

Step 4: CUT & GLUE

Once you have everything measured and drawn out, you are ready to start cutting. Once you have everything cut out, spray a light coat of the adhesive on one side of the foam to stick the fabric onto. Once that has cured, you should be ready to glue the edges together to form a cylinder. Do this 6 times, two cylinders for one of the arms, (either side is fine, I just did the left arm because it matches the original character in the game better) and 4 for both legs. After the limbs are finished, cut a large, rectangular piece of foam for the torso. Once that's done, find the center of the piece, then cut a circle large enough to get your head through and cut a straight line halfway down the center of the foam. (See the diagram above). once all that's taken care of, glue the fabric to it, cut some holes, and glue each edge to each other so that it looks like a big foam tank top! Ha ha ha!

Step 5: Add the Wires

Once you have the body finished, take some colored electrical wires about an arms length long, and loop them around the opposite arm that your are using for your hand.

Step 6: Finishing Touches

Once all the previous steps are done, take some red felt and some cardboard to make the bow-tie. For the feet, use some old tennis shoes, glue one to the bottom of a shoe box and cut a hole big enough to slip your foot into. for the other foot, take the remaining foam you have and cut out a piece in the shape of a rabbit foot. Again, cut a hole big enough to slip your foot into, then glue the rabbit foot piece onto your other shoe, then cut, cover and glue some purple fabric onto it.
