Make your favorite board a one-of-a-kind ride.....

Step 1: Make Cast of Unbroken Fin (object)

This project requires very few materials - but lots of patience

Materials list:

Plaster of Paris - or Clay

Epoxy

Fiberglass cloth

In this step, all you need to do is get a box (larger than the shape you are repairing) and make sure that it is sealed with packing tape. Mix the Plaster of Paris and pour into the box. Insert the shape that you want to repair and let sit overnight.

Step 2: Carefully Remove the Good Part From the Cast

Use a saw and do your best to pry apart the 2 sides

Step 3: Molding New Part

Mix epoxy and make a fiberglass sandwich with your broken part in the middle. Put the top on and let sit overnight

Step 4: Remove Molded Part and Sand

Take your time on this step. Work from abrasive sandpaper to fine.

Step 5: Feel Good About Yourself :)

Sand until satisfied (or tired) and them paint. GO RIDING!
