Introduction: Fix IPod Touch WiFi Issue (won't Connect)

About: Travelling since 2013. I'm currently in Australia for some reason. --- I’m Calvin Drews, and I love to learn, experiment, invent, create, repair, and generally just do things myself. A sort of modern jack of …

Ok, this is really simple and it worked for me and my Linksys WiFi. 2 step is all it takes to explain to anyone how to fix this common problem.

Step 1: Find Your Router

Find you router. This is pretty simple but good luck anyway.

Step 2: Boy or Girl?

Now look at the back of your router...

...and locate the reset button. It's blue and set into the case...and says "reset" above it (duh).

Step 3: Lets Do This!

Now prepare yourself. Look around for a pencil...and use it to gently push the reset button.

Now you are done! all you have to do is go on you iPod Touch>settings>WiFi>Choose Network> and choose yours.

Bask in the glory of technological understanding!

PLEASE NOTE: THE PICTURES USED IN THIS INSTRUCTABLE ARE NOT MY OWN. IF YOU WISH TO SEE THEM REMOVED, I WILL DO SO IMMEDIATELY.

God Bless Your SOUL! Thank you so much for this. I looked through so many different websites and tried so many different things, always skipping the reset router part because I wasn't sure how to do it, but this article was so plain and helpful and I FINALLY have wifi back on my iPod. I thought I was going to cry. THANK YOU

I unplugged everything on my router with no luck BUT, I just pressed the reset button ONLY this time and it worked!

    Thanks

Thank you so much, hours of screaming at Spark that they had changed the DNS, to no avail, hours of scouring the Apple webs, the bin was calling. But thanks to you 'pleb1' all sorted. No router resets, no deleting and adding accounts, no going through Apps, you are truly a blessing.

I found with the IPhone and IPod touch, both of which I have tried with multiple routers seems to be the DHCP DNS information doesn't get put into the device. so what I have been doing to fix it is putting in manual DNS settings you can use 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 (Google DNS servers)

I was having problems with connecting after we had blackouts occur. After putting in 8.8.4.4 I've finally been able to connect again. So thank you for this! :)

Go to settings, network, wi-fi. Under "choose a network", pick the one you are using and hit the blue arrow. Then you can select DHCP, scroll down to DNS and select DNS and then  you can put in the setting. I put in 8.8.4.4 and that worked out well for me.

I hope that description helped. :)

Yay! I am glad it worked out for you. Nothing worse than getting a headache trying to get things to work. Thanks to Prunes, again, for suggesting those settings.

I have an Ipod touch that won't connect to my 2wire network. I have an at&t router & I've tried reseting everything. Nothing works. It keeps telling me "incorrect password". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
