See what wikipedia says about Protoboards
A frequent usage of your Proto-Board makes holes can't hook micro legs, leds pins, peeled wire...

Step 1: Opening Proto-Board
Just take all screws off. Mine has 6 screws, but it may vary depending of the constructor.
Step 2: Removing the Cover and Discovering Internal Structure
Lots of highly condective metal pieces connecting those holes in rows in each column.
Step 3: Finding the Problem and Solving It
Now we can see the problem, the reason why our Proto-Board does not hook any pin well. Those metal pieces are slightly scrolled out so we must press them to return them to the right place. To do this we use a tool handle, for example i use the handle of my pliers, but a screwdriver can be used as well.
Be sure there is no component hooked to any hole.
Do it in this way:
Press the left side of the first piece in the top of a column, and move the handle keeping pressing. Redo this for the right side of that column of pieces.
Redo that in every column
And now the rows and columns that drives de current and voltage.

Step 4: Reconstructing the Proto-Board
Now we only have to put all the screws back to the board.
And that's all folks!!
