Step 1: Gather Materials
1. the broken Zipper
2. paper clip
3. tape (any kind will work)
Step 2: Attach the Paper Clip
take the paperclip and bend out the loose end, and put it through the hole of the zipper.

I had the same solution to a coat with a busted zipper. My wife did not like the way it looked. She used a piece of a shoestring. It works well a looks better.

Note: If you cannot loop the shoestring through the zipper. Use the paper clip as a base and braid the shoestring around the paper clip.

I tried this, but had better success using a spare keyring circle. In fact, I actually like the replaced zipper better now than the original =)

I've used the spare keyring circle too! It works well, is amazingly durable, and far easier to grip with gloves.

I find the small keyring methods works well too.
