"Floating" Computer Speaker Mount

This is a quick and pretty easy adjustable speaker mount idea.  The speaker can "float" over the monitor or be moved around easily.  I've used this design for microphones with good success in the past.  It could also be used for web cams to get different angles.  The cost is very minimal.  The adjustable arm is just a lamp mount with the lamp removed.

Great idea to add the block to lengthen the springs in turn adding more tension. I was about to drill new mounts to lengthen my springs, but this will work great, thanks for pitting this up.

Thanks for taking a look. Yeah, it seemed like a better solution to add tension this way - I was also thinking of drilling new mounts to make the springs longer until I tried it this out.
