Introduction: FocCal 2.4XL - Lens Calibration

About: Photographer, inventor...

FocCal 2.4 XL

front focus/back focus lens calibration

This tool is helpful for lens controlling and micro-calibration (front focus/back focus) from the digital camera level (micro-calibration function in the camera is required).

You don’t have to set the camera at an 45° angle, so this tool is more practical than just a simple, flat paper with a printed scale. Just set the camera in front of the contrasting target plate (at the “zero” line level) and start the lens micro-calibration. You can use different lenses without changing the camera height on a tripod, which is convenient when you have several lenses (tele, wide, standard). The printout fits on an A4 sheet so you can print it on your home printer.
