Introduction: Fondant Calla Lilies
In my opinion, Calla Lilies are the most beautiful flowers. They are so simple and elegant and it turns out that they are also simple to make with fondant! They only take about 5-10 minutes to make and doesn't require a lot of tools. The end result is always gorgeous. This instructable will teach you how to make beautiful calla lilies from fondant.
Step 1: Materials
Materials:
White Fondant
Yellow food coloring
Fondant work mat
Heart shaped cookie cutter
Rolling pin
Small dish of water
Toothpicks
Step 2: Work the Fondant
Take a large piece of white fondant and a small piece of white fondant. Use a toothpick to rub some yellow food coloring on the small piece of fondant. Work the fondant until it has a nice bright yellow color. Take the other slab of fondant and roll it very thin with the rolling pin.
Step 3: Make the Pieces
Take the sheet of white fondant that your rolled and cut out a bunch of hearts. Take the little piece of yellow fondant and tear a small piece off of it. Roll the yellow piece on the fondant board to make a a small tube shape.
Step 4: Assemble
I am going to call the two humps on the heart the flaps and the other part the base. Rub water on the two flaps and fold them partly over each other and the base. Rub water on the bottom of yellow part. Stick it inside the white flower you have just made. Congratulations! You have just finished making Fondant Calla Lilies!

I didn't know you could do it either! My mom's friend suggested I make this for the cake decorating contest and then she taught me how. I was very surprised to find out that you use hearts to create the flowers.
