Forklift Design

I am a sophomore at Hebron Academy. The purpose of this design is to help transport items on a forklift without them falling off so easily.

Step 1: Brainstorming

I started by thinking of ways forklifts could be improved, mainly for inexperienced users. I thought making a safety bar that would keep items from falling off the forks would be useful for inexperienced users, so they don't end up dropping their load.

Step 2: Designing

With this idea, I opened Fusion 360, and started designing it. I added forks for reference, and to show how the design would be used.

Step 3: Finish

I then designed the bar proportionally to the forks I added for reference. This safety bar is meant to be used for inexperienced forklift users, so that if they make a mistake with the controls, they won't drop everything.
