Introduction: Forward Assist Knex Slingshot (the Real One! Vote for It in the Contest or Whatever!)
OK... Soooooo... I know this is a single shot rifle, and I know it isn't the easiest to load, but hear me out! OK?
I had an idea of making a gun that would initially hit a round, then hit it again (kind of like a hammer gun inside a bolt.)
although none of the original ideas worked, this one did... and does. it has the main ram hit it and push it forward, and the other ram slows down a bit after that... the round slows down enough to make contact with the ram, and kind of works like a compound Newton's cradle. I'm getting over 100 ft of range with normal rods, and easily 150 to 160 with fin ammo.

I now have several bandages on my fingers from working on it and having the trigger mech fail while working on the barrel... so sorry if it isn't as pretty as it could be, I need to set them down for a couple days now and get feeling back into my fingers.

range: read the description about 4 inches above this depending on what device you're using to read this
power: holy crap, I have holes in my wall!
comfort: very comfortable, as much as I can tell through my leather welding gloves
sights: very nice, quite accurate
accuracy: fantastic, I can hit a CD at 50 feet easy
looks: I'm biased as can be and right now I'm afraid of the thing no matter how good it is now...just look at the picture and judge for yourself
reliability: pretty good, sometimes breaks parts, and if the trigger goes you need to make sure your fingers are out of the way when you put the round in otherwise the meat grinder will be something you'll feel quite comfortable letting 2 year olds play with while plugged in
build time: if your fingers don't get caught, probably around an hour and a half...
why I said forward assist: yes I know that on a real gun it's just to help seat a round that didn't do so correctly, on this one it sets the round up for the secondary firing
