French Rolling Pin
Intro: French Rolling Pin
French style rolling pin with taper for easy pivoting.
STEP 1: Stock
Cut stock to correct width and length. Use multiple pieces if necessary.
STEP 2: Glue
Glue strips together if using more than one piece.
STEP 3: Turn
Turn the wood on a lathe to a cylinder shape and then taper the ends 1/8" to 1/4".
STEP 4: Sand
Finish sanding by hand.
STEP 5: Oil
Coat with mineral oil.

A good tute on the advantage of a tapered pin, I use a straight cylinder style and lack the feature of a taper.
