Introduction: Frog Golf

A multiplayer game played with plastic jumping frogs . The frog that jumps the farthest wins.

These plastic frogs can be obtained on amazon or ebay for a very low price.

Step 1: Layout

To make a fairway, try to find any pencils, pens or sharpies in your home.

Create some labels marked with 50 yards, 75 yards and so on... Lay them on the table at proportionate distances.

You can add to the fun by creating some hazards using salt shakers, tissue boxes etc

Step 2: How to Play

  1. The players line up side by side with their frogs at the starting point.
  2. The frogs jump when pressed at the back. You can make the frog jump quite a bit depending on your technique

Now there are multiple ways in which you can play this game

Distance based :

  1. Decide upfront on a number of attempts.
  2. Each player makes the frog jump from the starting point and calculates the distance achieved.
  3. The frog that jumps the farthest in all the attempts wins the round.

Golf holes

  1. Decide on a number of holes to play and decide what that hole distance would be. Example : Hole 1 is 350 yards par 4, Hole 2 is 200 yards par 3 etc
  2. For each hole,
    1. The player makes the frog jump from the starting point
    2. The next turn is taken from where the frog has landed.
    3. Each player takes turn to reach the distance of the hole
    4. The total number of turns is calculated and marked against the player
  3. After a round of 9 holes or 18 holes, the total number of turns is calculated.
  4. The player with the lower number of turns wins the round
