Introduction: Fudge Popsicle

About: Hi! I am Klinong, that is how my loving family calls me, except my brother, he calls me Krinyol, as I have silly curly hair :) I love Instructables for forever now, especially for the contests ha-ha!, but I …

Kids' as well as adults' fav.!

Easy to make and you can add any additional goodies you like, such as dried fruits, nuts, and chocolate/other sweet chips.

And the best part? You can control the amount of the sugar, unlike store bought ones!

Step 1: Ingredients and Method

1/4 c butter/margarine

1/2 c flour

4 c milk (sometimes we use 3 c, and that works as well)

1 1/3 c firmly packed brown sugar (this resulting in enough sweetness to our household liking, you can add more or lessen it by 1/4 c if you'd like -- some people like somewhat bittersweet taste for their fudge)

1/3 c baking cocoa

a dash of salt

1 1/2 tsp - 2 tsp maple essence (or vanilla essence if you prefer)

mini chocolate chips, as needed, optional

Melt butter in high heat, lower the temperature to medium, add in flour gradually, alternating with a cup of milk, stir until smooth.

Pour in the rest of the milk and the other ingredients, bring to boil and until everything dissolved, and somewhat thickened.

Take off from heat, and let it slightly cool at room temperature (for about 20 minutes).

Step 2: Molding the Popsicle

Wash clean and dry your popsicle tray, mold, plastic cups, or any containers you'd like to use.

Pour enough mixture into the molds and a popsicle stick in each.

Freeze for at least 2-3 H and popsicle is ready :)

As variations, I sprinkled some cavity with mini chocolate chips. I also melt some of the chips and drop a tsp into each cavity just for fun.

Step 3: Enjoy!
