Introduction: Full Body Mewtwo Costume
This costume took about 3 months to complete all of the building, and still needs some refurbishing. It is very size specific, and will only fit someone who is approximately my size (Im 5'4'' and have a slim build.) The main features on this costume are the moving jaw, 3D follow effect eyes, and that big bouncy tail that stands up and holds it's curve while I walk around. It is super fun to wear and attracts a lot of attention when walking around in a busy area! I will try to list most/all of the materials here:
- Airtex foam (from JoAnnes)
- Aida Cloth for the eyes
- Plastic for the eyes
- Copic markers
- Ace bandage
- Balaclava
-Hot Glue (LOTS of hot glue)
- Electric carving knife to shape the foam
- Spandex suit (base for the body)
- Styrofoam balls
- Old shoes (bases for feet)
- Copper wire
- Hard foam (from Home Depot)
- Fleece
If you have any questions about how any of the parts were made, feel free to ask me! Also, there is a video of this suit in action, and you can watch it here -------> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZX04Y1vGCY&feature=plcp <----------- Thank you for looking, and I hope everyone enjoys this costume!
