Introduction: Full Disassembly and Cleaning of a Laptop Compaq CQ61 (in Details)

Model CQ61 is very difficult to clean when it is necessary to disassemble the laptop to fundamentally to clean the cooling system. Because of this I will try to give the most detailed description.

Step 1: What You'll Need?

  • BOX
  • SCREWDRIVER
  • LAPTOP COPMAQ CQ61
  • 1 and 1/2 hour work time

Step 2: What You Need to Know?

There are several types of bolts, such as bolt which secures WI-FI card, and those which fix the fan, they are easily distinguished. There are 3 types which are identical in appearance, but have different lengths and placed in various locations, such as the normal and most common are the longest, shorter are those that secure the hard drive and the smallest are those in battery area (these species can see in the picture).

For safe and smooth operation completely unscrew the bolts and remove them!!!

Also connecting not worry, it will confuse the wiring. This can not occur because each cable has a variable length, connector, or at least has a different number of pins!

Step 3: The Beginning With Rear Side.

  1. Turn the laptop on the rear side (from to battery).
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Loosen the screws marked with red circles.

  4. Remove the covers (do not be afraid to pull hard plastic is very flexible and robust).

  5. Remove all marked balls (each type of a different cell from the box).

  6. Remove the CD drive.

  7. Remove from goltovete HDD device (also of a different cell from the box).

  13. Start removing the gray frame pad by inserting fingers into the hole (where was the CD drive) and start pulling hard right up. Gray frame with touchpad behaves healthy claws, use greater force to remove it, starting to care will seem that it uncrushed but not, compression of the clips are healthy! You also can not break anything. You will need a little more thoroughness and diligence in the upper corners (especially if disassembly the laptop for the first time)!
