Creating Game Pieces:

1. Put on your safety glasses and dust mask/respirator

a. The glasses are needed to shield your eyes from over-spray and paint that may linger in the air around the area.

b. The dust mask/respirator is needed to filter the air. The paint and fumes can linger in the air and are hazardous to breathe in.

c. It is also good to have the work space be in a well ventilated area with a lot of air flow. A garage(with the door open) is a good example.

2. Place the piece of cardboard down on the floor or a workbench.

a. Make sure that there is nothing close to the cardboard. There is a chance that over-spray from the paint will get on other objects.

3. Place the first dime down on the cardboard surface.

a. Make sure the surface is clear of dust and debris. The layer of paint will trap any particles on the surface once it is applied.

4. Grab the first paint can and shake it vigorously for 5 seconds

a. Keep the cap on the spray paint can when you shake it. Your finger could slip and accidentally spray paint.

5. Remove the lid from the spray paint can and try to keep the bottle as vertical as possible.

6. Press down the trigger on the spray paint can and paint the dimes

a. For best results start the paint stream next to the dime and move the paint stream side to side over the dime.

b. Go back and forth over the dime 3 times for a single coat.

7. Place the cap back on the spray paint can.

a. It should take approximately 30 minutes for the dime to dry

8. You may remove the safety glasses and dust mask/respirator when you are in another room or when you can't see the work space anymore.

a. Do not remove if you are still in the work space! There could still be paint and fumes lingering in the air!

9. To apply a second of paint redo steps 1 and 4-9.

10. Repeat these steps 4 times to create all 4 game pieces.

a. Remember to use a different color paint every time.
