GEEKS ARE KEWL: Arduino-Controlled 18x6 LED Matrix (in Progress)
Intro: GEEKS ARE KEWL: Arduino-Controlled 18x6 LED Matrix (in Progress)
Objective: By the end of this project, I hope to display the scrolling message "GEEKS ARE KEWL" on an LED matrix.
So far, I've built the necessary hardware, which includes a handmade Arduino unit, an ATMega168 microcontroller, a handmade LED panel and a bunch of resistors. I've annotated the picture below, so you can see where each part goes in the actual setup.
The next step is programming the Arduino and ATMega168 to light the LEDs properly, which I am working on right now.
As mentioned before, this is a work in progress; I will be updating this Instructable as time goes on.
