Introduction: GIFT SLEIGH

About: I am a self-taught Finisher (furniture, automotive and faux) for over 10 years and ran a Finishing shop concurrently. I also have basic experience and training with cabinetmaking, home crafts and even electric…

CUSTOM-MADE SLEIGH - THE ORIGINAL "SNOWMOBILE"!

Using scrap plywoods laying around the shop, we made some gift sleighs for fellow associates for Christmas. Any size you want and stuffed with food, fruits, drinks, snacks and any other goodies you want to spread the Christms Cheer!

Supplies

Plywood, glue, pin-ailer, chalk paints, red velvet and some decorations.

Step 1: CUT AND ASSEMBLE

I drew out the shape I like, then cut this out in 3/8" plywood, so I have 2 sides, a back, front and a bottom. The runners likewise just get jig-sawed out of plywood. The glued and pinnailed.

Step 2: PAINT AWAY!

Using white base paint and light blue chalk paint, we painted the sleighs, then rubbed through areas to give it an aged effect.

Step 3: FINISHING TOUCHES

Painted the runners gold, put some velvet inside and adorned it with some decorations.
