Introduction: Garden in a Plastic Bottle

About: I am MBA / CIM qualified, now a home maker taking a career break. I love to experiment with cooking, Love to travel places with my better half and also an amateur photographer.

As an apartment dweller in Colombo, Sri Lanka, I am very limited with floor space for gardening. Hence attempting to make small gardens on my balcony.

What you need..

1. An empty plastic bottle. (1l drinking water bottle used)

2. A hax- blade to cut off a window in the bottle.

3. Soil and plants.

Step 1: Getting Your Bottle Ready.

Soak the bottle in warm water to remove the labels off it.

When completely dry, use a blade (hexblade) to cut a window on the bottle.

If window (rectangle piece) cannot be cut away completely, just push back the already cut backwards to the other edge of the window so it creates an open space.

Step 2: It's Time to Plant..

When the bottle is ready, through the window fill out the required soil and plant.

The plants chosen here are japanese roses.
