Introduction: Genius Project Catapult

Materials

Wood

- 2 foot pieces of wood (3 of them)

- 3 foot pieces of wood (3 of them)

- 33.94 inch pieces of wood (2 of them)

Other items

- Metal bar with grooves (1 of them)

- 2 1/2 screws (21 of them)

- Athletic band (1 of them)

- Cup or something else to hold the object (1 of them)

Tools used

- Drill

- Hack saw

Step 1: Drilling

Drill the 2 foot pieces of wood into each 3 foot piece of wood at a 90 degree angle.

Step 2: Cutting

Cut the metal bar down to 19.5 inches

Step 3: Cutting

Cut each 33.94 inch piece of wood at a 45 degree angle at each side.

Step 4: Drilling

Drill each 2 foot piece of wood perpendicular at the other end of the 3 foot piece of wood.

Step 5: Drilling

Drill each 33.94 inch piece of wood into each 2 foot piece and 3 foot piece of wood as shown in the picture.

Step 6: Drilling the Holes

Drill a hole in each of the 2 foot pieces of wood standing up wright. Drill this hole with a diameter of about 0.2 inches bigger than the metal bar. Make the hole 2 inches above the 3 foot piece of wood on the ground. Do this to both pieces of wood.

Step 7: Drilling a Hole

Drill a hole in the 3 foot piece of wood. Drill it 2 inches from the bottom and 0.25 inches away from each side. Make this hole as big as the hole in step 5.

Step 8: Attatch the Wood

Put the 3 foot piece of wood you drilled the hole into on the metal bar in the center. Put washers and bolts around it so the piece of wood doesn't move from side to side.

Step 9: Screw

Drill a screw into the back of the 3 foot piece of wood 7 1/2 inches away from the top.

Step 10: Put on the Cup

Put the cup on the opposite side of wood that the circle hook is on. Put the cup 2 inches away from the top of the piece of wood.

Step 11: Attatch the Tension

Tie on the athletic band around each end of the wood and make sure to put it through the circle hook.
