Introduction: Ginuary Cinnamon Butter

I am celebrating Ginuary this year (my reaction against Dry January inspired by the fabulous cabaret www.mothersruincabaret.com ) I am drinking gin every day for January. (I am tweeting about it if you want to see photos)

One day I wanted to have gin for breakfast, I decided to infuse the gin with cinnamon and have it in coffee. There was some cinnamon infused gin left over so I decided to make a gin/cinnamon version of Brandy Butter.

Step 1: Ingredients/Method

Cinnamon infused Gin

Unsalted Butter

Icing Sugar (not mixture)

I added the butter to the gin/cinnamon mixture then added the icing sugar, I should have followed a brandy butter recipe like www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/brandybutter_2535 and creamed the butter with the sugar and THEN added the gin/cinnamon.

Step 2: Butter Log

I used Glad Wrap to roll the butter into a log and then left it in the fridge.

Step 3:

Plain white bread toast, a cup of tea and Ginuary Cinnamon Butter, cinnamony - not too ginny and delicious.
