Introduction: Give Your Camera SUPER OPTICAL ZOOM for Birdwatching!

About: Hi my name is Muchen and I'm a student at Imperial College.
Do you have a standard digital camera, but want it to perform just like a DSLR camera?
Do you like taking photos of wild birds but cannot zoom in?
Well...here is your solution!I have noticed the tube of the binoculars acts like the GIANT zoom lenses on these DSLR cameras, so if you combine a digital camera and a pair of binoculars then you get the same effects as a DSLR camera! Simplz!
All you need is a pair of binoculars and a camera, and some tape.

Step 1: Step 1

Put your camera into the max OPTICAL ZOOM, NOT DIGITAL ZOOM AS DIGITAL ZOOM IS VERY FUZZY!
In this case, its 4x for my camera

Step 2: Step 2

Insert the camera lenses into the rubbery rim of the eyepiece tube of the pair of binoculars

Step 3: Step 3

Tape it on if your camera lenses won't fit into the rubbery rim of the pair of binoculars.

Step 4: Finished!

Now just use your super zoomed camera and take some pictures.

Step 5: Comparison

The first picture is taken without the binoculars at 4x zoom, see that its not very clear at all?
The second one is the one with the SUPER ZOOM! Much more clearer.

Step 6: Another Comparison

First picture is swans without super zoom, at 4x
Second picture is the one with SUPER ZOOM!

Step 7: Tips:

Always hold your camera and binoculars together, you don't want to damage either of these.
Try not to use digital zoom, it will ruin your picture.
You can always adjust the zoom level using the camera zoom and the binocular zoom!
If you are good at breaking apart binoculars, then you can separate the tubes so its not so heavy!
You can also do the same with telescopes, but it's not very portable.
Thanks, and enjoy!
