Introduction: Glass Chandelier
This chandelier is made from glass which would beautify your home.
Step 1: Gather the Materials
Things you'll need:
-Glass rings or bangles(these can be DIY using glass bottles)
-Nylon thread
-Plywood
-Laminate
-Glass beads
-Golden beads(optional)
-Glue
Step 2: Preparing the Plywood Base
Cut the Laminate according to your ply size and Apply fevicol(glue) on the Laminate and the plywood and stick together.
Step 3: Drilling the Ply
Drill holes at appropriate distances according to your pattern. I used a 2mm bit. I made a provision for three lights by drilling a 1 inch hole.
Step 4: The Basic Plan
This was my basic idea which I sketched it. You can have any pattern, which you can sketch it down in this way.
Step 5: Making the Glass Structure
Tie three rings together and glue them. Let it dry in a position you want your structure to be.
Step 6: Making the Strings
Take a long piece of nylon thread and insert the beads and glass structures by interlocking them as shown. The number of such strings to be made is that of the number of holes you drilled in your ply. You can make these strings of different lengths.
Step 7: Tying the Strings to the Ply
Insert one end of the string in the drilled hole. Insert a bead in the thread and put it back inside so that it gets locked. Now put a drop of hot glue to hold it in place. You can adjust the length of the strings in this step.
Step 8: Installing the Lights
I used one watt LED spotlights. All you have to do is just insert the lights in the drilled holes and make the connections(don't forget to use a driver). And your chandelier is ready :)

Nice idea. Please wear safe shoes when drilling! I would hate to see you get drilled too!:) Can you tell me where I can get those tiny lights and how they plug in? I need to find that information..thanks much for the great idea!:) Cheers!
