Gods of Heaven

This is a static model of 3 Gods in chariots traveling through ship in heaven. These 3 Gods(Jagannath, Balaram, Subhadra) are worshipped in the eastern part of India especially in the state of Orissa. This model also includes people(devotees)made of clay worshipping the Gods and an angel resting peacefully in the ship.

Supplies

Cardboard, paper knife, hot glue gun, wall putty, pots, acrylic paints, paint brushes, pieces of silk clothes (blue, yellow, pink), white garlands ( thermocol),flower garlands, cellotape, toothpicks, glue, paper plate, newspaper, clay, cotton, ornaments

Step 1: Making the Face of God: Step 1

Cut the cardboard pieces as given in the picture .

Step 2: Making the Face of God: Step 2

Join and paste the cardboard pieces as given in the pictures.

Step 3: Making the Face of God: Step 3

Use wall putty to cover the face completely.

Step 4: Making the Body of God: Step 1

Take a pot and use glue Gun to stick the face made earlier.

Step 5: Making the Body of God: Step 2

Use white paint to paint the pot.

Step 6: Making the Body of God: Step 3

Paint the face of the God using acrylic paints.

Step 7: Making the 3 Gods : Step 1

Make similarly 2 other gods using the same process. The difference between the three is that one God's face is white, second yellow and the third black. The God with yellow face has no hands.

Step 8: Making the 3 Gods: Step 2

Use silk clothes pieces to cover the body of the gods. Use garlands and ornaments to decorate the gods as given in the pictures.

Step 9: Making the Chariot : Step 1

Take 3 cardboards and cut the cardboard pieces as given in the picture.

Step 10: Making the Chariot : Step 2

Take newspaper and roll it to make cylinder shaped pillars .

Step 11: Making the Chariot : Step 3

Take a cardboard and cut it into rectangular pieces as given in the picture. Paint each rectangular pieces in the pattern of rainbow.

Step 12: Making the Chariot : Step 4

Take cardboard and cut the pieces as given in the picture . Join the pieces using cellotape to make the roof of the chariot.

Step 13: Making the Chariot : Step 5

Take a paper plate and place it over the roof of chariot and stick it with cellotape.

Step 14: Making the Chariot : Step 6

Join the cardboard pieces ,cylinder pillars and the roof of chariot using glue and cellotape as given in the picture. Similarly make 2 other chariots using the same process.

Step 15: Making the Chariot : Step 7

Place the 3 model of Gods in the 3 chariots .

Step 16: Making the Devotees

Use clay to sculpture the 4 models of devotees in different position and then paint it as given in the picture.

Step 17: Making the Ship

Use a big cardboard and cut it in pieces to make a ship. Join the pieces using cellotape and glue and then paint it using acrylic colors having a rainbow pattern.

Step 18: Making the Angel

Use clay and sculpture the angel as given in the pictures and then paint it with golden color.

Step 19: Conclusion

Assemble the different parts and place them as given in the picture. The static model of 3 gods in chariots traveling through ship in heaven is complete!
