Introduction: Gorp: the Best Stuff Ever.
Gorp, every hiker knows (or at least should know) what it is. If you don't, I am giving you the basic "anatomy" of Gorp.
Step 1: History:
Gorp, Good ole' raisins and peanuts. Gorp was invented in 1968, when two california surfers mixed raisins and peanuts together for a quick energy snack. However, there is a mention of gorp in the 1958 novel, "The Dharma Bums" by Jack Kerouac. Despite its disputed birth date, Gorp is a great mix everyone can enjoy. (Except for those who are allergic to peanuts, dairy, or grapes, this is not for you.)
Step 2: Recipe:
For traditional Gorp, you will need:
-1 cup of Peanuts (plain or salted)

-1 cup of raisins
-1 Large Ziplock® bag or medium sized Tupperware® container
Directions:
-Take all your ingredients and pour them in a bag or container.
