Introduction: Green Bean Casserole
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I can't believe that the holidays are already upon us! One of my favorite sides for Thanksgiving is this classic Green Bean Casserole. This recipe is so simple, delicious and comes together quite quickly. I have always loved taking this to my mom's house for the holidays and everyone enjoy's it. If you haven't had green bean casserole, make sure to give this one a try and you will enjoy it for the Holiday season. Step 1: Ingredients & Tools
Ingredients
- 1 10.5 can of Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
- ¾ Cup Milk
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- Pepper to taste
- 2 14.5 oz cans of Green Beans (drained and washed)
- 1 1/3 Cups French’s Crispy Fried Onions, Original Flavor (divide in half)'
Tools
- misc. kitchen utensils
- 9x9" Baking Dish
- Pyrex Mixing Bowl
- measuring cup
- Sprial Whisk
- spatula
Step 2: Combine Ingredients and Mix
Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F. Combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk and salt and pepper in a 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Give it a gentle whisk so that it will combine. You don't have to over mix.
Step 3: Add Green Beans and Dried Onions
Stir in beans and 2/3 cup Crispy Fried Onions then go ahead and flatten everything out throughout the pan as level as possible.
Step 4: First Bake
Next bake at 350°F for 30 minutes then remove from oven. Be sure to use your oven mitts because you will be working with the hot pan in the next step.
Step 5: Stir and Add Onions
Stir mixture and flatten it once again. Then top with remaining 2/3 cup onions spread evenly across the dish.
Step 6: Second Bake
Bake again for 5 minutes until onions are golden brown.
Step 7: Scoop and Serve
Scoop your desired amount and serve warm.
Step 8: Enjoy
